A Cocktail With A Touch Of Class

The sun's out which means you're probably out there with it! Sit back, relax, and sip on some of these yummy cocktails you can make at home with the herbs you got in your Leaf'd Box, like mint, sage, lemon balm, and more!

Lemon Balm or Mint Mojitos

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients needed per 1 drink:

  • About 5 lemon balm leaves (or more if you want more of that lemon balm flavor)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 oz of rum
  • 1 1/2 oz of lime juice
  • Sprite or tonic water


INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Mix Herbs and Sugar

Put the lemon balm or mint and the sugar in a short glass and muddle until well mushed together.

Step 2: Add Liquid Ingredients

Add the shot of rum, a squeeze of lime, and fill the glass with tonic water or sprite.

Step 3: Add Ice and Enjoy!

Add ice and stir gently. Garnish with some fresh lemon balm or mint, and you're done!

Lemon Balm Honeysuckle

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 6 tbsp honey
  • 2 cups lemon vodka or white rum
  • 3/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup (loosely packed) fresh lemon balm leaves or mint leaves
  • 8 lemon slices


INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Mix Ingredients and Chill

Stir honey and 6 tablespoons hot water in a large pitcher until honey is dissolved. Stir in vodka and lemon juice. Add 2 cups ice cubes. Cover and refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours.

Step 2: Add Fresh Herbs and Serve!

Squeeze lemon balm several times to lightly bruise leaves; add to pitcher. Fill Old Fashioned glasses with ice cubes. Divide cocktail among glasses. Garnish with lemon slices and serve.

Tequila Sage Smash

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients for 1 serving:

  • 3 sage leaves
  • 2 lime wheels
  • 2 oz tequila
  • 1/2 oz Cointreau
  • 1/4 oz agave
  • Sage leaves and orange curl for garnish


INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Mix Lime and Herbs

Muddle lime with sage leaves.

Step 2: Add Other Ingredients

Add ice, tequila, cointreau and agave. Shake well.

Step 3: Strain and Enjoy!

Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice and enjoy!

Mint Julep

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients for 1 serving:

  • 4-5 mint leaves
  • 2 sugar cubes (or 1/2 oz simple syrup)
  • 2 1/2 oz of bourbon whiskey


INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Mix Mint and Sugar

Place the mint leaves and sugar or simple syrup into a Julep cup, Collins glass, or double old-fashioned glass. Muddle well to dissolve the sugar and release the oil and aroma of the mint.

Step 2: Add Bourbon and Enjoy!

Add the bourbo and ice. Then, serve and enjoy!

Mint Lemonade Mocktails

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients for the younger ones to enjoy so they don't feel left out!

  • 1/4 cup sugar for the syrup
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 and 2/3 cup lemon juice (plus 1 whole lemon to use as a garnish)
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped mint (plus more for a garnish)


INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Boil the Simple Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1/4 cup water. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring until the sugar has dissolved.

Step 2: Let the Mixture Cool

Remove from heat. Let stand until completely cool.

Step 3: Mix and Enjoy!

In a large pitcher half-filled with ice, add 2 cups water, lemon juice, simple syrup, mint, and lemon slices. Stir to combine. Serve over ice, and garnish with mint leaves and lemon slices!
