Kale Chips Recipe

Kale chips are an amazing source of fiber, antioxidants, calcium, vitamins C and K, iron, and a wide range of other nutrients that can help prevent various health problems!

It's a leafy green that could get a bad rep but it has some of the greatest flavor and versatility in the kitchen! If you have kale in your garden you may notice the thick and sturdy stem your kale has and be thinking, "I have to eat that?!". I'm happy to announce, that stem gets taken off and you're left with beautiful green and purple leaves.

To harvest these beauties, just remember to pull from the outermost bottom later of the plant that way it can continue to produce goodies! Wash the leaves to make sure there's no creepy crawlers hanging on.

Kale chips are quite simple to make. You'll need your kale, duh; plus an oven, cooking oil, and your favorite cooking spices!

1. Take the leaves off the thick stem with a knife and then cut into 1in-1 1/2in pieces just big enough to be bite size.

2. Drizzle them with some oil to get them nice and crispy.

3. Top with your favorite seasonings-- salt, pepper, garlic salt, cumin (YUM)

4. Pop them into the oven for 10 minutes, flip, then cook for another 10 minutes!  (or until they are crisptastic)

And there ya go! Who said snacks needed to be unhealthy?!
