Pruning basil is a great way to make sure that it will keep producing for you as long as possible. And there's great news -- it's really easy!

To prune basil, all you need to do is pick off the plant's flowers whenever you see them. While the flowers are beautiful, basil is an annual plant, which means the plant thinks that it's at the end of its life cycle and starts to die off when it starts producing flowers. By pruning, cutting, or picking off the flowers, you'll make sure that your basil plant continues to grow for as long as possible, giving you the maximum amount of delicious leaves to enjoy.

Enjoy the pruning and Happy Gardening!
