LABELING

Don’t lose your seeds! Labeling where you have planted your seeds helps you remember where to water, and also what is growing in your garden. There are many fun ways to label your garden. From purchasing handmade labels online to creating your own masterpiece, the possibilities are endless!

Let's make our labels!

  • Grab rocks, popsicle sticks, or anything that is safe for your garden, and begin creating your labels. In this kit, you will need labels for basil, cucumber, radish, spinach, squash, and tomato. Quick reminder, if you are going to use paint for your labels, make sure it is a nontoxic paint that is water resistant.
  • Now it’s time to put them into the ground. Measure out the space in your garden for the seeds and place the labels into the ground. Remember to scan the QR code on the back of your seed packets for more growing, harvesting, and cooking information!

Spacing Guide

Here's an example layout of how to space your labels. Your Cucumber, Squash, and Tomatoes will need the most space so take that into account. Your Basil, Radish, and Spinach won't need as much space so you can section off a smaller lot for them.

Move onto the next step and learn how to plant your seeds! Happy gardening :)
